SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M1A SOCOM 16 7.62x51 NATO 16.3" 10rd Semi-Auto Rifle - Black

I already owned a full size M1A, and when this came to the market I could hardly wait to buy it. It is the most impressive looking rifle I own. With that being said, it is also my least favorite. The main issues are design mistakes. The rail system did not initially come all the way, and using certain optics I prefer trijicon is not possible. The newer rifles have corrected this fault. The second and biggest fault is the quad rail. Unlike most rail systems which surround the barrel, the quad system surround a full stock, making it extremely bulky and awkward. It also make the overall weight on a close quarters rifle, greater than the normal designated marksman version. Im a fan of the M1A, but would recommend buying the full length version. Lighter and more accurate.
