Wonderful daily carry for a woman (or anyone) who wants more than 5 or 6 shots available. Feels sturdy, quality, and still not too heavy.

It was fairly easy to clean using a YouTube video. It shot accurately. I like the sights. Feels good and fits my small/medium female hands. The recoil was manageable, not too much to reset. I do miss the little left thumb rest that is on a different weapon of mine.

At first I was nervous to not have a thumb safety but since I keep it a holster or with a trigger guard, I have gotten over it. My first one without, so had to face that fear.

All in all, I love this little gal and she's my new EDC. Quite glad with my purchase.

The M&P Shield Plus in 9mm works like the the earlier versions - flawlessly. Has a better trigger with a defined wall and on/off break and reset, great for tight groups in rapid fire.

Fits all my OTW and shoulder holsters from my earlier Shield.

New texturing is noticeably more grippy than earlier versions, and grip circumference is about 1/4 inch bigger but does not affect proximity of finger to trigger.

I would recommend the Shield Plus

This is WAY better than the original and the 2.0 series. The trigger is a huge improvement over S&W's standard curved triggers. I didn't think I would like it at first but after the first magazine I was in love. It has a very short reset great for rapid fire but not too little that it's uncontrollable. The grip texture is a perfect balance of the original without ripping your skin open if you brushed against it. I am firm on the fact I shouldn't have to buy a new firearm and have to modify it. This is the real deal and 13 + 1 can't be beat in a fracture of a size larger grip.

I had the original Shield since it came out and let a relative have it. After looking at all my options, I decided the Shield Plus would be the perfect replacement. I love the increased magazine capacity and the new trigger. I'm not a fan of how the rough grip texture feels on my bare skin, but a piece of Gorilla Tape fixed that. In cooler weather I'll have on an undershirt so it's just a hot weather issue. My Bravo Concealment IWB holster needed a little trimming with a dremel to fit properly around the mag release, but otherwise it seems to be exactly the same fit as my original Shield.
