SPECIFICATIONS
Fantastic for plinking and target. Very comfortable to shoot with the extended safety and wide beavertail. Has not been picky with ammo; as long as it is HV, the Mauser has handled it just fine. Wood grips are comfortable, with nice checkering.
The only weak point are the sights, which seem very cheap. For the price, I think it is acceptable.
Had the opportunity to run the Mauser 22lr 1911 through its paces, and it performed flawlessly. Only two complaints, both dealing with the sights: the rear sight has significant lateral "give" and cannot be fully tightened and aligned, and the front sight is plastic and could easily misalign or break off if the pistol is dropped or inadvertently knocked against a hard object. Mauser/GSG provides four alternate-height sights to adjust for elevation, but the micro allen screw and wrench make swapping them out during sighting a chore. The gun itself is solidly built and went through 100 rounds of CI 40 grain CP "red" without any misfires, FTFs, stovepipes, etc. Good weight, perfect grip, fun to shoot!
This is a very solid 1911 and it’s fit/finish is on par with several of the Kimber 1911’s I’ve purchased. I am totally surprised by how solid this gun is. For only being a 22cal., this gun is built like it will be firing 45cal’s. I’ll never hesitate at buying a “Mauser” branded firearm in the future.
I wanted a "plinker" and this one fit the bill. Nice machine fit and finish, nice alternative to shooting up all my 45acp ammo through my Kimber, when I want to plink! Excellent transaction from purchase to delivery, a top notch gun dealer...Thanks!
