Chambered in classic .45-70, Uberti’s replicas of all 6 configurations of the 1874 Sharps Rifle are true to the originals.
The Sharps Extra Deluxe features intricate engraving and AAA-grade satin walnut. Previously available only through select World Class Collection™ dealers, it is now available through all Uberti dealers.
The Deluxe Sharps has AA-grade checkered walnut and comes with a Creedmoor tang sight.
The Down Under Sharps is a reproduction of the firearm Tom Selleck carried in the film “Quigley Down Under.” That Sharps made amazing long-distance shots.
The Special Sharps has double-set triggers to aid the accuracy of long-distance shots.
By the early 1880s, the long-range models had become the favorites of professional buffalo hunters. In 1874, after 700 Comanche warriors attacked 30 buffalo hunters in the Texas panhandle, the hunters had used their Sharps rifles to fight back and win. Plus, the heavy barreled guns could take selected buffalo at long range without spooking the herd.
