The ergonomic polymer frame of this firearm has a textured grip with finger pads to aid in consistent hand placement and a picatinny rail for lights or lasers. S&W includes their Self Defense Trigger with a consistent 8.5 lb pull to reduce the possibility that an accidental trigger pull will discharge the firearm.
