The IR illuminator is recommended for use in low-ambient light conditions or total darkness, and the monocular operates both in the passive mode (without infrared IR illumination) and in the active mode (with IR illumination). The Ghost Hunter is useful for both close and long range observation. And for those times when you're stationary, the standard 1/4? socket allows the Ghost Hunter to be installed on a tripod or various accessories. The Ghost Hunter monoculars are perfectly suited for a wide range of application that include: shooting games (airsoft, paintball, etc.), search and rescue, nature observation, and especially hunting.
