I can tell Mossberg had to cut corners in some areas in order to keep the cost down. For 228 dollars, you can't beat that for a pump. However, you do get what you pay for. The pump itself is a little loose and there is no dust cover for the magazine well. Which, again, was probably a decision in order to cut down costs. Though, it cycles and shoots fine. Regardless, there's just something I don't like about it but I can't figure out what it is. Maybe it's the due to how cheap the metal looks on it, the fact there's no dust cover for the magazine well, or because the sling mounts have to have another mount put on them just to get a sling put on. Overall, it's a good gun, great value, reliable but it just has something odd about it that I can't figure out.
