The Geissele Automatics Super Modular Rail (SMR) MK4 is an incredible durable AR-15 free float hand guard with some unique features. You will notice a full length m1913 picatinny rail runs the entirety of the top of the hand guard while small picatinny rail sections sit on the front of the hand guard at the 3, 6, and 9 O' Clock positions. Further increasing the modularity of this rail is the use of M-LOK slots in the same orientation as the small picatinny rail sections, and again full length M-LOK slots located on the upper 45 quadrants. The rail is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard coat anodized finish. The proprietary barrel nut can only be installed with a Geissele barrel nut wrench which is sold separately.
