The buttpad may be very difficult to remove the first time or two. It may be a little easier to remove it by wiggling it back and forth (left to right) instead of up and down. And pull hard to get it out! As you remove and reinsert the buttpad, it will loosen up a bit.
Ever wonder why multi-pumps have stood the test of time? They're perfect for every shooter...whether you're 10, 30, 50 or 80 -- male or female. Everyone can shoot a multi-pump. If you're young or small or don't have any muscle power, put just 2 or 3 pumps in the gun and shoot it. Like power and have all the muscle power you need? Put in 10 pumps.
Since the Crosman MK-177 shoots either BBs or pellets, use whatever ammo you've got on hand. It just doesn't get any better than accepting versatile ammo. Combine that with the varible number of pumps, and you've got "every man's" airgun.
When you shoot steel BBs, do not shoot at hard objects or water. The BBs will ricochet! No matter what ammo you're using, remember to wear safety glasses. In fact, everyone in the vicinity of the range should wear safety glasses, even if they're not shooting. Remember to remove all pets from the range before you start shooting.
