Designed to exceed the newest requirements of the US Army for improving zero retention/repeatability. With a new slimmer profile, CAAs newest Picatinny quad rail improves durability, reliability and maintainability while interfacing with all issued weapon system components. The XM4S achieves superior zero retention and repeatability, by having the upper three rail section mount underneath the end cap and secured in place with a friction fit ledge and roll pins. The receiver end of the XM4S is secured to the barrel with a barrel nut bracket that is attached to the upper three rail section with four captive flathead screws. The bottom rail uses locking lugs with a retaining pin to keep it securely mounted to upper handguard.
