The Charter Arms Boxer manages to offer a six-round capacity despite being one of the lightest options on the market. At 2.2", the barrel is 1/3 inch longer than J-frame models. This adds a little velocity to the the .38 Special round, but recoil is still very mild. You may need to change grips in order to pocket-carry, but Charter has several options for as low as $14.95 on their website. My Boxer is light, accurate, and has been 100% reliable. I highly recommend it.
